Ojoba Collective

Ojoba Collective was started in 2003 as a means to help poor villagers in West Africa gain a fair wage for their crafts. After coming to understand firsthand the lack of opportunity for these rural villagers was mostly do to with the struggle for financial resources, the founders of Ojoba Collective began working with skilled Ghanian craftspeople to help market their wonderful and natural products. This project expanded to include working with artisans in not only Ghana but also in Burkina Faso, Niger, Mali, and Senegal.

They believe very strongly in trying to create a more just and equitable world through mutual understanding, humanitarian work, and small-scale economies with a human face.
