A few weeks ago, designer Carol Bergman stopped in our store and purchased one of our handwoven rugs from Nepal to be displayed in the Wisconsin Breast Cancer Showhouse. Handmade by fair trade artisan weavers, this rug has helped change lives by providing a stable market and fair wages to struggling producers in Nepal. We knew that this would be a great fit for the Showhouse not only because the rug was beautiful and would fit right in but because the Wisconsin Breast Cancer Showhouse also helps to change lives by supporting early stage breast cancer and prostate cancer research through the Medical College of Wisconsin. So needless to say, we were thrilled!
Today I had the chance to tour the Showhouse in which dozens of designers displayed their talents. It was a gorgeous example of the charm that an old home can exude. And if you enter the library bathroom, you will see our rug!
We have a few of these rugs plus more in other prints and patterns at our store!
