I try to be so conscious of reducing the amount of what I throw away as I just keep picturing garbage trucks and garbage trucks dumping piles upon piles at the local landfill. Instead I try hard recycle or re-use items in different ways. Many people even do this with their food waste turning it into nutrient rich compost making for happy gardens in springtime. This is the next goal of mine (composting tips welcome!)
