This ornament is made of several layers of paper machê and then hand-painted with elaborate designs, making each one unique. The artisans crafting these ornaments are part of a social enterprise group in rural India called Community Friendly Movement. The mission of CFM is to create sustainable income for marginalized artisan communities, helping the producers sell their handmade products to a larger market.
